The Philippine government-hosted Southeast Asian Regional Center for Graduate Study and Research in Agriculture (SEARCA) and the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) in Thailand inked ties on May 16, 2023 to cooperate on initiatives that promote agriculture and rural development in the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) region. The Department of Agriculture-Bureau of Agricultural Research (BAR) and the Southeast Asian Regional Center for Graduate Study and Research in Agriculture (SEARCA) will conduct a benchmarking study in agriculture research for development (R4D).
