SEARCA coordinates and facilitates implementation of research studies which are regional/sub-regional in perspective and scope. These include evidence-based studies, comparative studies, scoping, and case studies of best practices, integrative studies, and exploratory reviews on any of the ISARD strategic thrusts.
Most of SEARCA's projects are capacity-building and research initiatives carried out by its core programs on Graduate Education and Institutional Development, Research and Development, and Knowledge Management. Many of these projects are conducted in collaboration with other institutions.
Meanwhile, SEARCA's Project Development and Technical Services (PDTS) team focuses on packaging of flagship projects that promote cross-cutting concerns and synergy among the Center's three core programs. Through its PDTS, the Center generates external funding from traditional and non-traditional donors to support projects with significant contribution to inclusive and sustainable agricultural and rural development (ISARD), particularly along its social inclusion, environmental sustainability, and cross-cutting strategic thrusts.
SEARCA, through its PDTS, also provides high-quality professional technical services to governments of Southeast Asian countries and international donor agencies for high-impact projects in the areas of agriculture and rural development.
The Center carries an extensive track record in managing projects for both local and international development organizations. It is backed up by four decades of professional experience in project development and management.
