Emerging livestock diseases will entail enhanced biosecurity measures, animal disease experts from the Philippines, Australia and the United Kingdom said in a recent online forum. The Southeast Asian Regional Center for Graduate Study and Research in Agriculture (SEARCA) has published a book that illustrates the practical application of various research methodologies that support sustainable development. SEARCA Director Dr. Glenn B. Gregorio said the book is authored by scientists and researchers from the Philippines, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Thailand, and Vietnam. A BAGUIO and a Quezon City resident have both won in the 2020 photo contest of the Southeast Asian Regional Center for Graduate Study and Research in Agriculture (SEARCA). Mauricio Victa of Baguio City was this year’s People’s Choice Award winner, receiving over 2,300 likes on Facebook. The development of the coconut industry in growth areas in Quezon province was planned in collaborative projects that were formalized through agreements signed recently between the Southeast Asian Regional Center for Graduate Study and Research in Agriculture (Searca) and the provincial government of Quezon. “Searca’s priority is to extend its expertise to its neighboring communities in Region IV-A,”  Searca  Director Dr. Glenn B.
