Forty-seven SEARCA graduate scholarship programs (23 MS, 24 PhD) have so far been completed in School Year 2009/2010. Of the 47 programs completed, 41 are full graduate scholarships and six are PhD research scholarships. Other SEARCA scholars are expected to complete their graduate programs at the end of the summer period of this school year.

Five SEARCA scholars received the Academic Achievement Award given by UPLB to the graduate students who garnered the top five highest academic grade weighted average
The 47 graduate scholarship programs were completed by 46 Southeast Asian nationals (6 Cambodians, 6 Indonesians, 4 Laotians, 5 Myanmar, 12 Filipinos, 4 Thais, 4 Timorese, and 5 Vietnamese). The four Laotians who graduated comprise the largest group of Laotian scholars to graduate in one school year.
Of the SEARCA scholars under the full graduate scholarship, four completed their programs at Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), one at Kasetsart University (KU), 32 at University of the Philippines Los Baños (UPLB), and three at UP Visayas (UPV). On the other hand, the PhD research scholars obtained their doctorates at UPLB (4), UP Diliman (1), and UP Manila (1).
Academic Achievement Awardees
Of the 32 SEARCA scholars who graduated from UPLB, five were awarded the Academic Achievement Award, which is given to the graduate students who garnered the top five highest academic average. They are Mr. Rusty G. Abanto, PhD in Environmental Science; Ms. Reggie Y. Dela Cruz, PhD in Molecular Biology and Biotechnology; Mr. Artemio A. Martin, Jr., Straight PhD in Soil Science; Mr. Eriberto D. Salang, PhD in Soil Science, and Ms. Lita B. Sopsop, PhD in Environmental Science.
Meanwhile, Ms. Clarissa Yvonne J. Domingo, the only SEARCA scholar who obtained her doctorate at UP Manila, was recognized for having the highest academic performance in the Doctor of Public Health Program.

At UPV, Ms. Hoang Hai Thanh and Mr. Mac Nhu Binh, both Vietnamese, obtained their MS in Fisheries (Aquaculture), while Mr. Joao Xavier Amaral, Timorese, completed his Master’s in Marine Affairs. Ms. Thanh’s thesis is titled "Replacement of Fish Meal by Poultry By-Product Meal, Corn Gluten Meal and Soybean Meal in the Diets of Seabass (Lates calcarifer) Fingerlings," while that of Mr. Binh is titled "Reproductive Performance of Seahorse (Hippocampus comes) Fed Adult Artemia Bioencapsulated with Fish Liver Oil." The title of Mr. Amaral's thesis is "Economic Valuation of Coastal Resources in Timor-Leste: Direct Use Values of Coastal Resources in Batugade, Balibo Bobonaro District, Timor-Leste."
The four scholars who graduated from UGM are all Timorese. Their degree program and the title of their theses are:

The lone scholar who graduated from KU is Ms. Parinyarat Poosiri, who obtained her PhD in Tropical Agriculture at KU. The title of her thesis is "Factors Influencing Self-reliance of Thap Lan Woman's Weaving Group in Prachin Buri Province."
On the other hand, the PhD research scholars who graduated were all Filipinos. Their degree program, study post, and title of their disseration are as follows:

Of the 47 SEARCA scholarship programs completed, 10 were supported by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD).
As of 30 April 2010, the total SEARCA graduate scholarship programs completed are 1,097 for full graduate scholarships and 15 for PhD research scholarships.
