Training for Development

SEARCA aligns its training programs with current thinking in capacity development to foster innovation for the sustainable transformation of agricultural systems in Southeast Asia. These training programs will facilitate the wide sharing of best practices, practical and useful technologies, effective mindsets, and successes and lessons learned among SEARCA's stakeholders and their institutions.

SEARCA's courses are tailored to the specific challenges, contexts, and opportunities within Southeast Asian agriculture and rural development. This includes topics like climate change adaptation, food security, sustainable natural resource management, and agricultural innovation relevant to the region.

The SEARCA Online Learning and Virtual Engagements (SOLVE), launched on 28 April 2020, is a dynamic platform that shares practical, on-the-ground agricultural and rural development (ARD) innovations with a broad audience. Our priority topics focus on tangible impacts that address critical challenges in agriculture.

The SEARCA Agriculture and Development Seminar Series (ADSS), inaugurated on 28 August 2003, encourages the presentation and discussion of development and research issues, as well as their implications for sustainable transformation of Southeast Asian agricultural systems through innovation.
