SABRAO Journal of Breeding and Genetics Vol. 57 No. 1 (February 2025)

This December issue of the SABRAO journal highlights studies and discovery on maize, rice, barley, triticale, sunflower, hybrid tomato, chili, white yam, tobacco, and cotton among other crops. Some studies assessed the stress tolerance of some crops including heat stress tolerance of sunflower hybrids, salinity tolerance of spring wheat, aluminum stress tolerance of rice, and drought tolerance of maize. Meanwhile, some studies looked into the effect of biological, organic, and mineral fertilizers on rice, the effect of mineral and nano-potassium fertilizers on faba bean, and the response to humic acid and seaweed extract on onions, among other interventions to affect the growth and yield of some crops. These topics are among the many articles in the journal on agricultural genetics and breeding in Asia and Oceania.
