This study used bamboo biochar from pyrolyzed trimmings collected from local businesses specializing in furniture and novelty products. Chopped and sun-dried wastes were pyrolyzed at 500 °C inside a closed tank under a limited oxygen supply and cooled overnight. Finally, pyrolyzed bamboo wastes were soaked in water for 24 hours, air-dried, and then pulverized in a stainless mill. The vermicompost, on the other hand, was purchased from an accredited commercial producer.
