Southeast Asian Upland Agriculture Fellowships Project

The Southeast Asian Uplands Agriculture Fellowships was a five-year collaboration between IDRC of Canada and SEARCA specifically aimed to: 1) strengthen the cohort of professionals with knowledge and skills relating to food security and sustainable upland agriculture in Southeast Asia through Masters-level graduate training; 2) deepen understnanding on current issues and concerns of food security in upland rural communities especially in Cambodia, Lao PDR, Myanmar and Vietnam through related fieldwork, research, workshops, and publications; and 3) facilitate innovative thinking  and approaches to food security and upland develoopment initiatives through the developoment of thesis-related policy briefs and eventual, effective engagement of graduates in professional/leadership positions in their respective countries.
