International Professional Service Provider for Local and International Graduate Scholarship Programs In Livestock Research and Biotechnology for the Philippine Carabao Center (PCC-SEARCA Scholarship)
The Philippine Carabao Center (PCC) has contracted the Southeast Asian Regional Center for Graduate Study and Research in Agriculture (SEARCA) to serve as International Service Provider for Local and International Graduate Scholarship Programs in Livestock Research and Biotechnology to strengthen its pool of professionals. The main objective of the program is to provide scholarship grants to qualified officers and staff of PCC to pursue graduate studies in selected universities in the Philippines and overseas in order to upscale the technical capacity of these PCC staff on livestock research and application of biotechnology. Scholars under the PCC-SEARCA Graduate Scholarship Program are known as PCC-SEARCA scholars.
The exposure of the PCC Staff as they undertake their masteral and doctoral degrees (locally and abroad) is expected to contribute largely in the attainment of PCC’s mandate. The identified specializations for the graduate degree programs include molecular genetics, genomics and bioinformatics, quantitative breeding, and related fields to livestock biotechnology application that includes policy, planning, and development studies. It is expected that, at the end of the scholarship program, the PCC Staff would play an integral part in the continued success and further upliftment of PCC.
