LOS BAÑOS, Laguna - The Philippine government-hosted Southeast Asian Regional Center for Graduate Study and Research and Agriculture (SEARCA) will hold a session on the regional implications of the Philippine Rice Tariffication Law (RTL) during the Inaugural Rice Research Symposium on Wednesday (Nov. 13) at the Makati Shangri-La Hotel. The research symposium is part of the 11th World Rice Conference organized by The Rice Trader (TRT). The Southeast Asian Regional Center for Graduate Study and Research in Agriculture (SEARCA) and the ASEAN Centre for Biodiversity (ACB) have agreed to continue cooperating on programs that will mainstream biodiversity in agriculture. THE Department of Education (DepEd) has expressed support for the Southeast Asian Regional Center for Graduate Study and Research in Agriculture’s (Searca) advocacy to strengthen academe-industry-government interconnectivity for agricultural development. This was reiterated during Searca’s investiture rites for Glenn Gregorio as the 11th Searca director presided by Education Secretary Leonor Briones on October 28 at the center’s headquarters in Los Baños, Laguna.
