The Southeast Asian Regional Center for Graduate Study and Research in Agriculture (Searca) said Grow Asia, through its Philippines Partnership for Sustainable Development (PPSD), is helping Filipino farmers improve their skills and hike their output. The newly appointed Director of the Southeast Asian Regional Center for Graduate Study and Research in Agriculture (SEARCA) advocates the Center’s continuous support in strengthening the academe-industry-government partnership for agricultural development and fulfilment of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Dr. Glenn B. Gregorio formally announced his commitment as the 11th SEARCA Director during the investiture rites presided by DepEd Secretary Leonor M. Southeast Asian Regional Center for Graduate Study and Research and Agriculture (SEARCA) recently hosted a session on the regional implications of the Philippines' Rice Tariffication Law. The Research Symposium was part of the 11th World Rice Conference organized by The Rice Trader (TRT). Horticulture experts from the University of the Philippines Los Baños (UPLB) discussed the status and prospects of the calamansi industry in Oriental Mindoro, the largest producer of calamansi in the country at a seminar convened by the Southeast Asian Regional Center for Graduate Study and Research in Agriculture (SEARCA) last February 12.
