Assistant professor Adrian Mausig, associate dean of the Institute of Agriculture of Marinduque State College (MSC), received a Commission on Higher Education (CHEd) scholarship grant on Transitional Mobility Program to be held at the Faculty of Agriculture, Kasetsart University in Bangkok, Thailand from November 1 to 30, 2022, according to MSC President Diosdado Zulueta. Mausig's scholarship is under the CHEd-funded project Levelling-Up Philippine Higher Education Institutions in Agriculture, Fisheries and Natural Resources (Level UPHEI AFAR). The Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) has tapped the Southeast Asian Regional Center for Graduate Study and Research in Agriculture (SEARCA) to evaluate its Program on Accelerating Farm School Establishment (PAFSE), which is being implemented nationwide. PAFSE encourages farmers and other private individuals to set up farm schools across the country. It provides skills training, retooling, reskilling, and upgrading of the labor force in the agri-fishery sector. Here is good news for bazaar fans, and there are lots of fancy and fun bazaars in the NCR to enjoy this season! The “queen” of all bazaars, which has been on hold, like all other bazaars, since this ongoing pandemic started in early 2020, will be back with a vengeance on Nov. 20, a Sunday, at its favorite venue, the World Trade Center. MENTORS from four higher educational institutions (HEIs) in the Philippines visited universities within the Association of Southeast Asia Nations (ASEAN) region to conduct research, benchmarking and capacity-building activities funded by the Commission on Higher Education (CHEd). The University of the Philippines Los Baños Alumni Association (UPLBAA) has conferred the Multi-Generation UPLB Alumni Award to the family of Dr. Glenn Gregorio, director of the Southeast Asian Regional Center for Graduate Study and Research in Agriculture (SEARCA).
