LOS BAÑOS, Laguna — The Southeast Asian Regional Center for Graduate Study and Research in Agriculture (SEARCA) has opened nominations for the Outstanding SEARCA Scholarship Alumni (OSSA) 2026 award.
The program recognizes SEARCA scholarship alumni who completed their master's or doctoral degrees and have made significant contributions to sustainable agricultural and rural development (ARD) in Southeast Asia.
The OSSA 2026 award highlights the achievements of individuals who exemplify SEARCA's core values and philosophy in their professional fields.
The award seeks to honor leaders and innovators who emerged from SEARCA's long-standing “Golden Harvest" of scholars.
Nominees will be recognized in teaching, research, public service and community development, and agribusiness and entrepreneurship.
Eligible nominees must be SEARCA scholarship alumni who completed a master's or PhD degree.
Nominees must not be employed by SEARCA at the time of nomination.
The program does not accept posthumous or self-nominations.
Nominations may be submitted by individuals or organizations, with individual nominators required to provide a separate endorsement.
Nominations must be submitted through SEARCA's online platform at ischo.searcaapps.org.
Nominators must ensure the nominee selects a specific award category.
Nominations should highlight notable achievements and measurable impact on sustainable ARD in the region.
Nominees must demonstrate alignment with SEARCA's core values and excellence in their respective fields.
The nomination deadline is 31 December 2025.
