CHED announces scholarship opportunity in Thailand

The Commission on Higher Education (CHEd) has announced the availability of 15 scholarship grants at the Chulabhorn Graduate Institute (GCI) Post Graduate Scholarship for Academic Year 2023-2024, according to Romblon State University President Dr. Merian Catajay-Mani.

CGI is a private graduate institution established in 2005, to celebrate the auspicious occasion of the 48th Birthday of Professor Dr. Her Royal Highness Princess Chulabhorn Mahidol. It aims to employ recent interactive teaching techniques used in leading educational and research institutions to provide effective thinkers and leaders.

With the approval of the Ministry of Education, it was officially established as an autonomous higher education institution on December 28, 2005, having the Princess as the chancellor of the Institute Council.

The CGI scholarship grants are open to interested applicants aiming to complete Master's degree.

In a related development, CHEd supported the attendance of Dr. Juniel Lucidos, Director of Romblon State University (RSU) Planning and Development Office, in the Transnational Mobility Program sponsored by the Universitas Gadjah Mada in Yogyakarta, Indonesia from September 1 to 30, 2022.

The one-month mobility program is under the CHEd-funded project in collaboration with the Southeast Asian Regional Center for Graduate Study and Research in Agriculture (SEARCA), and Southeast Asian Consortium for Graduate Education in Agriculture and Natural Resources (UC) titled "Leveling-Up Philippine Higher Education Institutions in Agriculture, Fisheries, and Natural Resources (LevelUPHEI AFAR)".
