BANGKOK, Thailand – On the invitation of the French Agricultural Research Center for International Development (CIRAD), Dr. Gil C. Saguiguit, Jr. (second from left), Director of the Southeast Asian Regional Center for Graduate Study and Research in Agriculture (SEARCA), attended the launching ceremony of the International Double Degree Master’s Programme “InterRisk” held on 12 January 2016 at Kasetsart University (KU), Bangkok, Thailand.

InterRisk is a new international master's program that provides extensive academic training on evaluation and management of health risks considering the “One Health” approach. The master's program is centered on the assessment and management of health risks at the human, animal, and ecosystem interface. The InterRisk Master’s Programme is a joint project of CIRAD, KU, and the National Veterinary School of Toulouse in France. The program provides students an opportunity to receive a double diploma in health risks management from both French and Thai universities.

The launching ceremony was hosted by Kasetsart University where the master’s program will be offered through its Faculty of Veterinary Medicine starting August 2016. SEARCA is looking at the possibility for a joint scholarship program for the InterRisk Master’s Programme with French institutions and existing scholarship partners of the Center.
