The LevelUPHEI AFAR project of the Southeast Asian Regional Center for Graduate Study and Research in Agriculture (SEARCA), in collaboration with the Southeast Asian University Consortium for Graduate Education in Agriculture and Natural Resources (UC), is funded by the Philippine Commission on Higher Education (CHED).
It aims to level up Philippine higher education institutions in agriculture, fisheries, and natural resources (AFNR) towards enhanced relevance and competitiveness in the 21st century. The project includes mentoring and nurturing members of the State Universities and Colleges Association of Colleges of Agriculture in the Philippines, Inc. (SUC ACAP) and improve their standings in the world university rankings.
The first half of the Short-term Training Programs component of LevelUPHEI AFAR was successfully implemented with five virtual offerings between October 2021 to May 2022. The next leg of the project will implement these five training programs on face-to-face modality, starting November 2022 until June 2023.
