Learning event on gender mainstreaming in agricultural value chains

This learning event generally aims to enhance the knowledge, skills and attitudes of participants in mainstreaming gender in agricultural value chains. It addresses the need of community-based development advocates to understand the link between gender and agricultural value chains, and to design interventions that contribute to mainstreaming gender in agricultural and rural development initiatives. The learning event will employ a mix of training methods that are based on the experiential/adult learning approach in discussing the concepts of gender and value chain, and their relationship and importance in sustainable and inclusive agricultural development; various approaches and qualitative tools in the analysis of gender in agricultural value chains; and gender mapping and analysis in a value chain.
