This two-day course will discuss the concepts, state-of-the art, objectives and potentials of circular economy in agriculture. To sustain food security in the future, it is essential to design processes and value chains with minimal waste of resources. Through this course, the participants will be able to familiarize themselves with the opportunities and technologies by which it is possible to save nutrients, water and energy while improving the profitability of agricultural production.
The course will be led by Dr. Sanna Taskila from Finland. Dr. Taskila has over 15 years of experience in process and environmental engineering, development of side stream valorization concepts and leading R&D activitiesrelated to sustainable use of natural resources.
