Ms. Ramos, SEARCA’s Training Associate, assists in developing relevant training programs to support the Center’s strategic plans. She . develops the cost requirements of training programs; designs cost-effective training manuals, materials, and reports; coordinates training and training-related activities; and helps the department in establishing networks and institutional linkages.
Prior to joining the Training Department, she worked as Program Associate of SEARCA’s Graduate Scholarship Department, Information and Communication Associate/Media Lab Coordinator of SEARCA’s Knowledge Management Program, and Associate Editor and Officer In-Charge of SEARCA’s Communication and Publication Unit. She has also served as an English Instructor in a private college in the Philippines.
Ms. Ramos has also served as editor and production coordinator of numerous proceedings of seminars, workshops, and conferences conducted by different local and international organizations.
She was a Subject Matter Expert Evaluator for the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization’s (FAO) Information Management Resource Kit for the module titled “Management of Electronic Documents” (beta version) of the WAICENT Outreach Programme, Library and Documentation Systems Division. She was editor and style editor of various publications dealing with agriculture and related fields, including two publications that were awarded the 2003 National Academy of Science and Technology (NAST) Outstanding Book and Outstanding Monograph.
In 2001, she participated as a Future Harvest Ambassador for the Gardening for Food Around the World Program, sponsored by the World Bank Institute and conducted and held at Epcot Science Park, Walt Disney World, Orlando, Florida, USA.
She obtained both her BS and MS degrees in development communication from the University of the Philippines Los Baños (UPLB). Her MS degree cognates are environmental science and education management.
