Impact Assessment and Biofuels Development: An Appreciation Workshop for Media Practitioners

Course Description:

In cooperation with the International Crops Research Institute for the Semi-Arid Tropics (ICRISAT) and the Philippine Science Journalists Association, Inc. (PSciJourn), this workshop aims to provide basic information on biofuels and its emerging industry, its applications, and understanding its policy issues and challenges as anchored on impact assessment for media practitioners. It will also feature an orientation to some public sector research on biofuels crops.

Participants:

Media practitioners from the three main islands of the Philippines, namely: Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao

Duration: 29-30 September 2008

Venue: SEARCA, Los Banos, Laguna, Philippines
