SEARCA has launched the "Academic Bridging Program for CLMV," an assistance program for nationals of Cambodia, Lao PDR, Myanmar, and Vietnam (collectively known as CLMV).

The Program aims to provide assistance to best qualified scholarship candidates from CLMV in upgrading their BS program to a full four-year BS degree program.

For School Year 2006-2007, nine scholars from Cambodia (5) , Lao PDR (2), Myanmar (1), and Vietnam (1) were awarded under the Program.

All nine scholars had completed their International Graduate Diploma in Agro-biosystem at Khon Kaen University (KKU) in Khon Kaen, Thailand from on 16 March 2007.

In addition to the undergraduate technical courses they took up to enhance their knowledge in their respective areas of specialization, they also attended specialized training courses to improve their English language proficiency and other technical skills.

The Academic Bridging Program was implemented by SEARCA in partnership with KKU.
