The Project Development and Management Department (ProDev) facilitates the development of flagship projects that promote the cross-cutting thrusts and core programs of the Center on graduate scholarship, research and development, and knowledge management. It generates external funding from traditional and non-traditional donors to fuel programs and projects in line with the Center’s thrusts. ProDev also provides professional technical services complementary to the major programs of the Center.
Formerly known as Consulting Services, ProDev carries an extensive track record in managing projects for both local and international development organizations. It is backed up by four decades of professional experience in project development and management.
Key Result Area 1:
Facilitating synergistic development of flagship programs and special projects
KRA1 aims to
a) develop crosscutting, Center-wide flagship programs that preferably have regional focus;
b) support participation in regional development activities that relate to SEARCA’s mandate in the Southeast Asian region;
c) strengthen cooperation with international, regional and national organizations; and d) ensure smooth implementation of flagship projects funded.
Key Result Area 2:
Donor relations and Marketing of Center’s Core Department Projects
KRA2 aims at expanding the Center’s sources of fund support and marketing its core programs.
Key Result Area 3:
Providing professional technical services limited to and complementary to the major programs of the Center
KRA3 aims to market SEARCA’s professional technical services focused on agriculture and rural development projects to partner country governments and international funding agencies as well as to ensure smooth implementation of professional technical services contracts.
