SEARCA’s Knowledge Center on Climate Change (KC3) joined the 13 finalists chosen from around the globe at the Clean Energy Marketplace in the recently concluded High Profile Dialogue on Climate Change back-to-back with the 4th Asia Clean Energy Forum 2009 held last 15-19 June 2009. The Clean Energy Marketplace Poster Competition featured innovative technologies, business projects, and models and programs in the light of clean energy as a means to mitigate climate change and its impacts. Grand prize went to the Renewable Biomass Solid Fuel as Alternative to Coal for Firing Bricks in Kilns Project of the MinErgy Pvt. Ltd, Nepal.

Organized and sponsored by the Asian Development Bank and USAID, the High Profile Dialogue on Climate Change back-to-back with the 4th Asia Clean Energy Forum gathered together about 800 participants from various groups: policymakers, private institutions, and non-governmental organizations. The forum provided the opportunity for stakeholders to share best practices and form partnerships in response to climate change.
