At the forefront of today’s vibrant agribusiness sectors are agro-based small and medium-scale enterprises (SMEs), adding values to domestic raw materials, generating employment, and contributing to the dispersion of industry ownership as well as reducing dependence on imported agricultural (food and non-food)supplies.
To enhance their competitiveness and enable them to remain competitive, SMEs have to be assisted in several areas, two of which are enhancing their opportunity identification and marketing focus. This publication addresses these concerns as it provides SMEs a guided tour of the Philippines agribusiness scene and the opportunity it unfolds.
