The Asian Society of Agricultural Economists (ASAE) invites agricultural economists and other development practitioners, policymakers, academicians, students, and researchers to participate in the Sixth ASAE International Conference to be held in Manila, Philippines on 29-31 August 2008.
This event is organized by the Philippine Agricultural Economics and Development Association, Inc. (PAEDA) and the Southeast Asian Regional Center for Graduate Study and Research in Agriculture (SEARCA).
The theme is “The Asian Economic Renaissance: What is in It for Agriculture?” The Conference Program Committee is calling for papers that address various agricultural development issues of relevance especially to developing countries in Southeast Asia to be presented at the parallel sessions. Potential sub-themes include:

Food Supply and Demand Outlook in Rapidly Growing Asian Economies
Regional Trading Arrangements in Rapidly Rising Asia
