Forest Lives

SGPPTF shares 15 lessons from work with 247 partners in 1,000 villages in 8 countries through the regional synthesis paper entitled, “Forest Lives”. Four cross-cutting themes characterize these lessons: 1) Coping with resource uncertainty, living with social change, 2) Strengthening local forest governance, 3) Supporting practice through policy and collaboration, and 4) Sustaining livelihoods. Regional conference to promote forest protection & management through local action
From 10 to 11 September 2007, 65 participants from eight countries met in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia to share experiences and plan future directions for sustainable forest management (SFM) in East and Southeast Asia. more
