The Program Associate will assist in proposal development and project management activities and provide technical backstopping for selected projects directly maintained and coordinated by SEARCA’s Research and Development Department. The Program Associate will work under the overall supervision and guidance of the Program Head.
Minimum Requirements and Qualifications
Graduate of a 4-year degree course preferably in Agribusiness Management, Agricultural Economics, Community Development or Farming with background on agricultural economics with 3 years work-related experience (or with Master’s degree and with 2 years work-related experience); knowledgeable in econometrics and agricultural economics research methods.
Terms of Reference
1. Support the implementation and monitoring of RDD support programs and work-plans, i.e., Seed Fund for Research and Training, Fellows Program, Travel Grant, and DL Umali Award;
2. Administrative, Financial, and Logistical support to the department focusing on the achievement of the following results:
a. Assist in the organization and conduct of conferences, workshops, seminars, and other activities;
b. Assist in the preparation and development of concept notes and project proposals; and
c. Assist in developing and strengthening linkages and networks for collaborative activities and fund generation;
3. Support communication and knowledge management in the department focusing on the achievement of the following results:
a. Perform various technical editorial duties;
b. Assist in updating RDD activities in the SEARCA website and relevant online platforms and information systems; and
c. Perform other tasks that may be assigned by the RDD Program Head from time to time.
