MANILA, Philippines–SEARCA handed over to the Climate Change Commission (CCC) the Final Report of the project Climate Resilience and Green Growth (CRGG) in Critical Watersheds during the Climate Change Consciousness Week held on 22 November 2017 at Sofitel Hotel.

The project is implemented by a consortium composed of SEARCA, CTI Engineering of Japan, Woodfields Consulting International (CTI), and Ergons Project Management Consultant (ERGONS). It is under the Asian Development Bank Technical Assistance (8493) to CCC and funded by the Japan Fund for Poverty Reduction (JFPR).

Along with the Final Report, SEARCA also presented to CCC the Guidance Manuals on Baseline Calculations, Vulnerability and Risk Assessments (VRA), Greenhouse Gases (GHG) Inventory, Environment and Natural Resources Accounting (ENRA) and Payment for Environmental Services (PES), and Cost Benefit Analysis (CBA) of priority climate change adaptation measures.

CCC Secretary Emmanuel de Guzman said that they will look at the guidance manuals for possible inclusion in the Community of Resilience (CORE) modules, a series of Learning Modules under the Community of Resilience (CORE) Program. The seven-module series was launched during the Climate Change Consciousness Week.

Secretary De Guzman also visited the exhibit of SEARCA's Knowledge Center for Climate Change (KC3). He said it would be better if the KC3 can be linked with the CCC's Knowledge Portal for climate change adaptation and mitigation to further share and disseminate knowledge, technologies, and best practices.
