The ISARD Policy Roundtable Series (PRT) aims to inform policy in agricultural and rural development (ARD). It looks to apprise concerned stakeholders of evidence-based policy lessons/implications resulting from science-based studies and to provide a venue for in-depth discussion of the issue and said policy lesson/implication, particularly as it impacts the poor and vulnerable sectors. Policymakers, researchers, development workers, and the private sector are among the target participants and beneficiaries, with agricultural/rural communities as the ultimate beneficiaries.
SEARCA's short-term training courses aim to provide opportunities for policymakers, researchers, academicians, trainers, and other key champions and stakeholders in agricultural and rural development (ARD) to update themselves and discuss contemporary issues and science-based perspectives on inclusive and sustainable agricultural and rural development (ISARD); strengthen their leadership competencies; and hone their research capabilities.
The SEARCA Agriculture and Development Seminar Series (ADSS) encourages presentation and discussion of development and research issues, as well as their implications for agricultural and rural development. Through the ADSS, SEARCA aims to contribute to a vibrant scientific exchange within, and even beyond, the Los Baños Science Community.
