JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for analyzing and creating computer information systems and applications to manage systems information, provide technical expertise and support, and responsible for maintenance and upkeep of all software applications.
QUALIFICATIONS: Graduate of a 4-year degree course preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems or relevant fields; with 3-5 years relevant work experience in a similar post and capacity.
BASIC KNOWLEDGE: Network Administration - TCP/IP, VOIP, LAN/WAN, DCHP, etc.; Database management concepts, web programming languages, information system life cycle, etc.
ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS: Proficient in systems study, analysis, design, development, integration, testing, and implementation of information systems and software applications; database design and management, migration, and security; web page development and maintenance; administration and management of local area network (LAN) operating in a multi-platform environment, including problem tracking, reporting, and monitoring systems; network operation (server administration, firewall, proxy server, etc.); web server operations and negotiating/supervising Web hosting arrangements; effective IT support services (basic troubleshooting, leased line and local dial-up connections, computer virus issues, IT security issues, Internet application and usage, hardware/software installation); ability to identify new or needed revisions of existing applications to improve various work processes; ability to liaise effectively with hardware vendors and other contractors on IT-related technical /administrative issues and concerns.
